Julissa Mishay Norment (she/they) is an award-winning playwright, bookwriter, lyricist, and proud member of the Dramatist Guild. With an MFA in Musical Theater Writing and Collaboration from Temple University, their work encapsulates a Black, Queer, and Womanist perspective while striving to diversify theatrical experiences. Beyond their work as a writer, Julissa is also a dedicated educator. They have served as a teaching artist and guest lecturer at Temple University, Yes! And… Collaborative Arts, and the JWM: Musical Theatre History Lecture Series.
